Eliot Institute Afternoon Art Coordinator

Selection and Appointment: The Art Coordinator is selected and appointed by the Dean. S/He is responsible directly to the Dean.

Qualifications: The person selected should be an artist who enjoys teaching or facilitating the creation of art by other campers.

Responsibilities:
1. Before camp, assemble materials require for the art project proposed to/by the Dean, and arrange for their transportation to camp. Purchase supplies within budget, as agreed with the Dean.

1. In choosing supplies, be mindful of the Unitarian commitment to respect the interdependent web. Prefer supplies which are re-used, recycled, bio-degradable or non-toxic.

1. Advertise the art workshop in the newsletter

1. Set up a time and place for art-making each afternoon, and assist campers to create successful projects.

1. Coordinate daily clean-up and storage of supplies.

1. At the end of camp, turn over any excess supplies suitable for storage to the Operations Manager (Naramata) or Volunteer and Operations Coordinator (Seabeck), together with an inventory list.
